“Our new collection is all about numbers and presents thematic pieces with vibrant colours and thematic styles broadening the TNO world.”
The New Originals is a performance clothing brand established in Amsterdam in 2015, but before then The New Originals sprouted as a close group of friends running a blog to share and curate interest within fashion, design and music back in 2011. This brand distinguishes itself as a brand that strive to make durable and long-lasting apparel that bring emphasis to one’s individuality.
This Amsterdam clothing brand recently teamed up with Ghanaian photographer Kwabena Sekyi, Ghanaian born, London raised & now Amsterdam-based Ebeneza Blanche and Ghanaian creatives to bring us their spring/summer campaign and a short fashion film which allowed us momentary glimpses into the world of the mathletes in a Ghanaian boarding school, while simultaneously presenting to us, their newest collection.
“The term Mathlete is a combination of the word math and athlete and is defined as a person who participates in mathematics competitions.”
The Mathlete collection is fun, bold, artsy, playful and colourful. It ranges from the TNO Sudoku Spencer, TNO flag cardigan, TNO 1+1=3 Hoodie, TNO Mathletes T-shirt to the Workman Hoodie, TNO calculator Long-sleeved T-shirt and the Workman tote bags, caps and socks. The most standout piece from the collection is the simple yet vibrant woven jersey splashed with artwork to complete the knitwear range.
To get your hands on these pieces you can visit the store (located in Amsterdam) or buy them online at theneworiginals.eu
